SCHEDULE A RAPID COVID-19 TEST
(Antigen, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR)
The health and wellness of our community are really important to us! That’s why we have been providing COVID-19 testing in Charlotte and surrounding areas since the onset of the pandemic.
If you have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, schedule a test below to make an appointment at one of our convenient locations.
Which COVID-19 test do you need? We offer three different kinds of COVID-19 tests for added convenience. Testing is done by appointment only but you may walk-in to any site and our staff can help you schedule a test on the spot.
Our rapid antigen, RT-LAMP, and RT-PCR tests are performed curbside so you never have to leave the comfort of your vehicle.
The rapid antigen test provides results within 10 minutes. This test shows if you have an active COVID-19 infection. Since the test must be performed within a specific timeframe and is sensitive, the results are not 100% accurate. False negatives are possible albeit not very common (~11%)
The rapid RT-LAMP test is a molecular test that can provide results within 60 minutes and is very accurate.
The rapid RT-PCR test is a molecular test that is the GOLD STANDARD of testing. It results within roughly 30-60 minutes and is the most accurate test one can perform.
The rapid RT-PCR test is our recommended test of choice because it is more accurate than both the rapid antigen and rapid RT-LAMP test and is accepted worldwide for travel. This test is used to detect an active infection and more specifically used for travel certificates, employment, and many other needed testing confirmations.
All of our tests result within roughly 60 minutes and post to our patient portal for you to view, download, save, and print. You will get instructions on how to retrieve your results via your email confirmation and you will get a flyer at the time of testing.
If you do have symptoms or test positive for COVID-19, remember to follow the health department and CDC guidelines. We will provide you a handout on what to do whether you test positive or negative 🙂
- Patients with an active infection should stay home or quarantine away from others for 14 days.
- Avoid close contact with others, especially those who are high-risk patients.
- Regardless of your test results, remember to practice social distancing and wear a face mask.
- We offer COVID-19 vaccinations which you can schedule here: COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduler
