Kavel was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. He was a bio-chemistry major at NC State University before attending the University of Tennessee for Pharmacy School. Upon graduating, Kavel took a position with Target Pharmacy. Frustrated by the corporate world’s focus on revenue over the patient, he sought out a better way to help patients in the community. Kavel took the position of Pharmacy Manager at Walker’s Drug Store in Cotswold, which is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year. In his spare time, Kavel enjoys travelling, is an avid designer shoe collector and trying new restaurants in Charlotte with his wife, Shannon.
